Unlimited free tracking, with prices you can see.
MailSeen's free tier covers 10 tracked emails a month, its paid prices aren't published, and its extensions haven't been updated since June 2025. MailViewed has no monthly cap on tracked emails, shows its prices up front and ships updates regularly.
Three reasons to choose MailViewed over MailSeen
No monthly cap on Free
MailSeen's extensions are named 'Unlimited Email Tracker', but its website and Gmail listing cap the free tier at 10 tracked emails a month. MailViewed's free plan has no monthly cap; only bulk, campaign-style sending may have tracking paused.
You know the price before you start
We couldn't find MailSeen's paid prices on its website or store listings. MailViewed's plans are on its pricing page, starting with Free and Pro at $2.99 a month, with a 14-day money-back guarantee.
Accuracy you can check
MailSeen's homepage claims 99.9% accuracy without saying how it's measured, and its own blog says Apple's privacy protection makes tracking ineffective. MailViewed documents how it leaves out scanner and Apple privacy opens, and shows each one on the email.

What each one can reach in your Google account
- Sign-in asks only for your basic Google profile: name, email address and profile photo (openid, email, profile). MailViewed keeps just the name and email.
- One optional Gmail permission, send-only, used by Compose and individual copies. It can't read, search or delete mail.
- Tracking data is deleted 12 months after sending, and you can delete the tracked emails in your dashboard, or your whole account, yourself.
- It requests Chrome's declarativeNetRequest and declarativeNetRequestFeedback permissions, which Chrome lists with the warnings 'Block content on any page' and 'Read your browsing history'.
- Which Google account permissions it asks for at sign-in isn't documented.
- Its store listings say emails are stored with Google Cloud. Its privacy policy says it collects and processes email addresses, and gives no retention period.
You send more than 10 emails a month, want link tracking and filtered opens, want to know the price before you start, and want a tracker that has been updated in 2026.

MailViewed vs MailSeen: common questions
The free tier covers 10 tracked emails a month. We couldn't find paid plan names or prices on MailSeen's website or its Chrome Web Store listings as of October 3, 2026; they may only be shown inside the extension. Prices that come up when you search for MailSeen belong to other products with the same name, not to the mailseen.com extensions. MailViewed's prices are public, starting with Free and Pro at $2.99 a month.
MailSeen's website credits 1Paper Ai, and its Chrome Web Store listings are now published by Mobile Internet Limited, the Hong Kong company behind MailTime. 1Paper's own site lists MailSeen as acquired.
Its extensions were last updated in June 2025 according to the Chrome Web Store. MailViewed publishes a changelog and ships updates regularly.
We don't recommend it. MailViewed doesn't detect MailSeen, so it won't step aside on its own, and both extensions could try to track the same email. Turn MailSeen off in Chrome's extensions page first.
Try it on your next email.
Free to start, no branding on what you send, and scanner opens kept out of your numbers.
