Unlimited tracking for free, not 20 emails a month.
MailTracker's free plan stops showing details after 20 emails a month, link tracking is paid and switched on by support, and unlimited tracking starts at $20 a month billed yearly. MailViewed has no monthly cap on tracked emails, even on Free, and Pro costs $2.99 a month.
Three reasons to choose MailViewed over MailTracker
No monthly cap on Free
MailTracker's free plan covers 20 tracked emails a month; past that it keeps tracking but hides the details until you upgrade. MailViewed's free plan has no monthly cap; only bulk, campaign-style sending may have tracking paused.
A paid plan for $2.99, not $20 to $30
MailTracker's Starter plan is $29.99 a month, or $20 a month billed yearly. MailViewed Pro is $2.99 a month, or $23.99 for a whole year, and link tracking is already free.
Scanner opens kept out of your count
MailTracker's terms say Apple Mail Privacy Protection, proxies and firewalls can make tracking inaccurate, and it doesn't claim to filter out automated opens. MailViewed leaves out loads from security scanners and Apple's privacy proxy, and shows them on the email with the reason.

What each one can reach in your Google account
- Sign-in asks only for your basic Google profile: name, email address and profile photo (openid, email, profile). MailViewed keeps just the name and email.
- One optional Gmail permission, send-only, used by Compose and individual copies. It can't read, search or delete mail.
- The extension works only on Gmail and MailViewed's own sites.
- Its privacy policy describes requesting Gmail permissions, giving 'read, compose, send, and permanently delete all your email' as an example, and says it stores the access tokens encrypted.
- Its US and UK English Chrome Web Store description says it doesn't need permission to read and manage your Gmail, so its own documents disagree.
- Its terms say it may collect names, email addresses and phone numbers from emails you receive, to show contacts in your CRM.
You want no monthly cap on tracked emails, even on the free plan, link tracking without asking support, scanner opens kept out of your numbers, and a paid plan for $2.99 a month instead of $20 to $30.
Add to Chrome, it's freeSwitch in about a minute

- 03Send your next email
It's tracked automatically: grey ticks when it sends, green once it's opened, with scanner opens left out.
MailViewed vs MailTracker: common questions
No. MailTracker (getmailtracker.com) is made by Mail Automation, Inc. Mailtrack is a different product made by Mailsuite in Barcelona. We compare MailViewed with Mailtrack on a separate page.
MailTracker says it keeps tracking your emails, but you need to upgrade to see their details. The count resets on the 1st of each month. MailViewed's free plan has no monthly limit; the one exception is bulk, campaign-style sending, where tracking may be paused.
No. Link click tracking is on MailTracker's paid plans, and paid users contact support to have it switched on. On MailViewed, link tracking is free: switch it on for any link as you write.
Not that it claims. Its terms name Apple Mail Privacy Protection, proxies and firewalls as things that can make tracking inaccurate, and give no warranty of accuracy. MailViewed classifies every open, leaves out loads from Apple's privacy proxy, Microsoft Safe Links, Mimecast, Proofpoint and other scanners, and shows them on the email.
We don't recommend it on the same Gmail account. Two extensions that both handle Gmail's Send button can get in each other's way, and MailViewed isn't built to recognize MailTracker and step aside for it, so use one tracker at a time. Turn MailTracker off in Chrome's extensions page first.
Try it on your next email.
Free to start, no branding on what you send, and scanner opens kept out of your numbers.
