Undo a send.
Every Compose send has a 10-second window to change your mind — or skip the wait.
Press Send in Compose and a bar appears: Sending in 10s… Undo / Send now.
- Undo cancels the send completely — nothing leaves our queue, and your draft returns to the composer untouched.
- Send now skips the countdown.
- Do nothing and the email sends after 10 seconds.
While queued, your message is held encrypted and is hard-deleted the moment it sends (or the moment you undo). If anything goes wrong mid-send, your draft is safe on your device — you'll never retype an email because of us.
Undo exists in dashboard Compose. Emails sent natively from Gmail follow Gmail's own undo-send setting instead.
