Install the Chrome extension.
Add MailViewed to Chrome and get tracking inside Gmail in under a minute.
The Chrome extension is what puts read receipts inside Gmail itself — the ✓✓ checkmarks next to your sent emails, automatic tracking on every send, and the per-email tracking toggle in the compose window.
Open the MailViewed listing on the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome. Chrome will ask to confirm — the extension only requests access to mail.google.com, nothing else. (Prefer to install it yourself? The extension page has a .zip and manual steps.)
Open or refresh mail.google.com. You'll see a small Tracking on pill in every compose window — that's how you know it's working.
Visit app.mailviewed.com and sign in with the same Google account you use in Gmail. This pairs the extension with your dashboard so your opens show up there. See Pair your account.
MailViewed works on Chrome and Chromium browsers (Brave, Edge, Arc). On your phone there's no extension — use Compose in the dashboard instead, which needs no extension at all.
