Group emails: who exactly opened?.

A normal Gmail send to several people is ONE message with ONE tracking pixel shared by everyone. When it loads, we know someone opened — but physically cannot know who. Trackers that name a person on shared-pixel group emails are guessing. MailViewed tells you the truth: opens are counted for the email, and per-person status shows as unknown.

Individual copies (Pro): real per-person receipts

Pro users can flip on Individual copies for group emails in Settings. Send to 2–10 people in the To field and each person quietly gets their own copy with their own pixel — so 'Sara opened, Amir hasn't' is exact, not a guess. Your Sent box still shows one tidy conversation, and recipients don't see each other.

• Works from Gmail (fresh composes) and from the dashboard's Compose.
• Needs a one-time, send-only Gmail connection (Settings → Integrations): the copies go out from your own Gmail, and Google requires your permission for that. Until it's connected, group emails go out as one shared copy and the email's page says so.
• Cc/Bcc sends stay as one normal group email, so Cc keeps its meaning.
• A normal group email shows everyone in To to each other — that's how email works, with or without MailViewed; Bcc is what hides addresses. Individual copies are the other way to keep recipients private, so when you've turned them on and they can't be sent for a reason you couldn't see coming (Gmail not connected, a Drive attachment, more than 10 people), the extension asks before sending one group email instead.
• If anything prevents splitting, your email falls back to a normal send — it's never lost.

Why Cc/Bcc emails can't be split — or attributed

Cc means 'visibly kept in the loop' and Bcc means 'invisible copy'. Splitting those into personal To copies would silently destroy that meaning — a Cc'd manager would get a private email instead of visibly being on the thread. So Cc/Bcc emails always go out as one message with one shared pixel.

Could we at least credit opens to the person in To? No — that would fabricate data. The Cc'd person loads the exact same pixel, so the moment they open it your dashboard would wrongly say the To person read your email. We show what we actually know instead: opens counted for the email, each recipient labeled with the field they were in (To, Cc, or Bcc).
